About the role
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our Mining & Industrial Services team in Kwinana, WA. This role is responsible for the successful delivery of fabrication, machining, and construction projects from award through to completion.
Working closely with clients, workshop teams, engineers, subcontractors, and site personnel, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery including safety, quality, scheduling, commercial performance, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
* Managing projects through all phases from tender handover to final close-out
* Coordinating engineering, procurement, fabrication, machining, site works, and commissioning activities
* Managing project budgets, forecasting, reporting, and commercial outcomes
* Preparing and maintaining project schedules, resources, and delivery plans
* Administering contracts including variations, claims, and extensions of time
* Monitoring project progress and implementing corrective actions where required
* Leading project meetings with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients
* Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and client requirements
* Building strong client relationships and providing clear project communication
* Supporting and mentoring project teams to achieve successful outcomes
Essential
* Proven experience managing projects within fabrication, machining, construction, or heavy industrial environments
* Demonstrated delivery experience involving one or more of the following:
o Pressure vessels
o Pressure piping and piping spools
o Heat exchangers
o Structural and mechanical assemblies
o Machined components and assemblies
* Strong understanding of workshop-based project delivery and fabrication processes
* Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, cost tracking, and reporting
* Knowledge of relevant Australian Standards, quality requirements, and client specifications
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to manage competing priorities and work under pressure
* Current Australian driver’s licence
Desirable
* Qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
* Experience within mining, oil & gas, industrial, or heavy engineering sectors
* Familiarity with inspection and test plans (ITPs), MDRs, and pressure equipment documentation
* Experience managing client-facing fabrication or pressure equipment projects
