Specialist Equipment Operator - Taree (Roads & Bridges)
MidCoast Council is seeking a skilled Plant Operator to join our Operations North team. In this role, you will be responsible for the secure and efficient operation of specialist plant and equipment to support the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and drainage infrastructure across the region.
Location: Taree, New South Wales
Tenure: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: Commencing salary package range circa $62,779 to $69,057 p.a. plus superannuation. (Dependent on skills and experience.)
Overview / What you will do
- Operate backhoes, skid steers, graders, and other plant equipment safely and efficiently.
- Support construction and maintenance of roads, bridges, and drainage infrastructure across the MidCoast region.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- Other related plant equipment duties as required.
Qualifications and experience
- Proven experience operating backhoes, skid steers, and graders.
- Strong focus on safety, reliability, and teamwork.
- Candidates with experience operating other types of plant equipment are encouraged to apply.
Pre-employment requirements
- Pre-employment medical check including drug and alcohol test, sight and hearing, functional and medical assessments.
Location of work
- Normal place of work will be the MidCoast Council Depot located on Arkwright Crescent, Taree 2430.
- May be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.
