Engagement Manager – Health Economics & Market Access

We are now seeking an Engagement Manager in Health Economics & Market Access to join our collaborative and impact-driven team.

About Us

HTANALYSTS is a specialist consultancy in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), market access, and policy advisory. We work across healthcare, public health, and the broader social sector, generating compelling economic evidence that supports access to innovation and investment in better outcomes for people and communities.

Our projects span Australia, Recent Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific region, and our clients include biopharmaceutical and medtech companies, governments, and non-profit organisations. We are recognised for our expertise in health technology assessment (HTA), economic modelling, social return on investment (SROI), and impact evaluation.

The Role

As an Engagement Manager at HTANALYSTS, you will support the delivery of HEOR and market access projects from planning through to execution. You’ll bring solid technical expertise in HEOR and project coordination to help ensure deliverables are of high quality, meet timelines, and address client needs.

You may take the lead on client engagement during the course of a project where you are the project lead, and you may also contribute to mentoring or line management of junior staff, depending on your experience and interest. You’ll work across a wide variety of health and social sector topics from HTA submissions to stakeholder engagement and broader impact assessments.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day project delivery across HEOR, market access, impact and patient engagement workstreams, in collaboration with senior staff.
- Lead and/or contribute to economic evaluations, including cost-effectiveness models, literature reviews, clinical research analysis and impact assessments.
- Coordinate with clients during projects you lead, providing clear and timely communication.
- Support junior team members through mentoring, coaching or line management, where appropriate.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables through effective oversight, internal review, and adherence to project timelines.
- Maintain accurate documentation and task management using Microsoft Planner.
- Identify and respond to potential project risks, escalating where needed and contributing to solutions.

About You

You're a technically strong HEOR professional with a collaborative mindset and solid organisational and time management skills. You enjoy applying analytical thinking to real-world challenges and supporting teams to deliver high-impact work. You’re also comfortable stepping into leadership roles on projects and guiding others where needed.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

- Master’s degree or PhD in health economics, economics, public health, Biomedical Sciences or related discipline.
- At least 5 years’ experience in HEOR, consulting, academia, pharmaceutical/medtech or similar industry.
- Proven experience in HEOR methodologies and HTA submissions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage project tasks, deadlines, and communication in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with software such as Excel, R, SAS, or TreeAge.
- Experience mentoring or supervising team members.
- Familiarity with the Australian HTA environment (e.g. PBAC, MSAC).
- Experience in public health, impact assessment, or social sector evaluations.

Why Join Us?

- Diverse and Purposeful Work: Engage with meaningful projects that drive better outcomes in healthcare and social services across the region.
- Regional and Global Reach: Contribute to access and policy initiatives in Australia, New Zealand, and the Asia-Pacific.
- Flexible Work Culture: We offer a remote‑friendly and flexible work environment that supports your productivity and well‑being.
- Professional Development: Access structured mentoring, internal learning, and continuing professional education opportunities.
- Supportive Team Environment: Join a team that values open communication, shared learning, and a healthy, respectful workplace.
