Radiographer – Casual Position
Hunter Valley Private Hospital, Shortland, NSW seeks a motivated, suitably qualified Radiographer to support the small dedicated Radiography Team on a casual basis.
The department provides high quality service to clinicians, surgeons and patients within an 83-bed hospital that includes 5 theatres, surgical, medical and a large rehabilitation unit.
Role Summary
Perform diagnostic radiography, support theatres and general patient care, and contribute to departmental quality and safety initiatives.
Responsibilities
Theatres using Philips Zenition 70 Image Intensifier for pain management, and BV Pulsera II for gastroenterology, orthopaedics and general surgery.
General X-rays in the department, including mobile X-rays on the wards.
Breast specimen imaging.
Maintain the smooth running of the department and collaborate with clinicians to undertake requested procedures.
Actively engage in WHS and quality initiatives to ensure a safe work environment, injury prevention and accreditation.
Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
Selection Criteria
Current registration with AHPRA.
Current EPA radiation licence.
Relevant university degree or equivalent.
Proven experience as a qualified radiographer.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well independently and within a team.
Basic computer skills.
