Research Officer Job Description:
As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples diagnosed with cancer and their caregivers.
You will coordinate participant recruitment, informed consent, onboarding and follow-up, ensuring high-quality data collection and ethical research practice. This involves working closely with teams at The University of Queensland and Cancer Alliance Queensland to build a long-term population-based cohort driving meaningful improvements in cancer care and survivorship.
* Recruit eligible First Nations participants and caregivers, following approved protocols and informed consent processes.
* Conduct phone-based data collection and maintain standards of data accuracy and integrity.
* Manage documentation, scheduling and participant remuneration with strong attention to detail.
* Support the maintenance and improvement of tracking and data systems.
