Overview
A1 Access and Rentals are seeking experienced Diesel Fitters for a broad range of positions in our business, based in the Northern Territory.
Contract type: Casual Position - until the end of 2025 (relocation and ongoing work for the right candidate).
FIFO Position 2:1 roster - Flights, Accom and Vehicle included.
Responsibilities
- Perform on-site servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs to mobile plant, including heavy earth-moving equipment, trucks, generators, small wash plant and light vehicles.
- Prepare recent machines to site specification requirements.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical faults and attend machine breakdowns on site.
- Liaise with the Workshop Supervisor to diagnose faults and coordinate parts.
- Major engine and component rebuilds.
Candidate Skills & Experience
- Relevant Trade Qualification in Diesel Fitting or equivalent
- 2+ years of fitting experience
- Extensive experience working with Caterpillar and Volvo equipment, highly regarded
- Field service experience
- Experience working with hydraulics
- Robust focus on safety and quality
