About The Role

Position: Associate in the Sydney office, covering Australia and New Zealand real‐estate investments.

Responsibilities

* Contribute to transactions from a buy‐side perspective on behalf of proprietary real‐estate investment funds, including opportunistic and core investment strategies.
* Build financial models and prepare investment committee materials on new real‐estate opportunities.
* Perform due diligence and assist with the execution of acquisitions, including liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisors.
* Support the execution of business plans for existing investments, developing and maintaining working relationships with external asset managers and recommending asset‐management initiatives to drive value.
* Undertake market research, analyse trends and share insights with the team to help inform the strategic direction of the funds and identify new opportunities.

Qualifications

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in finance, investments, commerce or economics.
* 4+ years of relevant investing experience in the real‐estate sector, including knowledge of valuation principles.
* Ability to analyse and interpret complex information quickly and accurately.
* Ability to communicate ideas clearly and succinctly.
* Strong aptitude for numbers and experience with financial modelling.
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
* Demonstrates strong project‐management skills and excels as a value team player.
* Results‐driven and able to perform well under pressure and manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced environment.
