Job Description Role Title

AEM Developer (BackendDelivery & Headless)

Overview

We are seeking an AEM Developer to support delivery of amarketing transformation initiative leveraging AEM as a Cloud Service and Edge Delivery Services (EDS).

This role will primarily focus on headless contentdelivery, enabling modern front-end experiences delivered via EDS. You will work with Content Fragments, GraphQLAPIs, and integrationpatterns to expose structured, performant content to the front end.

This is a hands‐on development role supporting an EDS‐first delivery model, working closely with a front‐end developer building content‐driven UI at the edge.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain headlesscontent delivery services within AEM
* Work with:
o Content Fragments
o AEMGraphQLAPIs
* Enable EDS front‐endexperiences by providing structured, performant content
* Design and implement REST APIs and integrations with external systems (search, analytics, dataservices)
* Support search and structuredcontent experiences (articles, FAQs, site content)
* Build and maintain AEM components and services where required to support content modelling
* Develop and maintain businesslogic features where needed (e.g. calculators, decision tools)
* Collaborate closely with front‐end developers to ensure seamless API and UI integration
* Contribute to Cloud Manager pipelines, CI/CD, and cloud‐native deployments
* Ensure backend and content services are scalable, maintainable, and performant
Required Skills & Experience
* ~5–6 years of AEM developmentexperience
* Strong experience with:
o Sling / OSGi
o JCR (content repository)
* Hands‐on experience with:
o Content Fragments and headlessdelivery
o AEMGraphQLAPIs
* Experience building and consuming REST APIs and integrations
* Strong understanding of:
o AEM Author / Publish model
o Dispatcher / caching concepts
AEM Platform Experience (Important)
* AEM as a Cloud Service
* GraphQL API configuration and usage
* AEM Assets integration
* Familiarity with Cloud Manager and CI/CD pipelines
Nice to Have (but not essential)
* Exposure to Edge Delivery Services (EDS) or other headless CMS models
* Experience with search platforms (e.g. Algolia, Elasticsearch)
* Experience building data-drivenfeatures (e.g. calculators, charts, decision tools)
* Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud (Analytics, Target)
