About The Role
The ICT Vendor Manager is responsible for overseeing relationships with technology vendors, ensuring that contracts are fulfilled, and performance metrics are met.
This role involves strategic planning, procurement and execution to optimise digital and technology vendor performance and mitigate risks associated with third-party service providers.
You'll be recognised and valued within a supportive team and have the flexibility to work from home and in the office. You can be based in any major Australian city.
Key Responsibilities

* Determining overall vendor management strategy, embracing effective management and operational relationships at all levels.
* Creating and implementing effective procurement strategies for ICT goods and services aligned with the organisation's goals.
* Managing the tender process, including Requests for Information (RFI), Requests for Quotation (RFQ), and Invitation to Offer (ITO) processes.
* Establishing policies, standards, guidelines and framework for vendor governance and service monitoring.
* Leading and evaluating technology vendor relationships, including contract negotiations to renewal or termination.
* Managing contract variations and adjustments in response to evolving business needs.
* Monitoring vendor performance against established SLAs and KPIs, conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to vendors.
* Proactively engage with vendors for mutual benefit to resolve operational incidents, problems, unsatisfactory performance and other sources of conflict.
* Implementing clear escalation paths for resolving issues.
* Collaborating with internal stakeholders to align vendor services with business objectives.
* Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
* Identifying opportunities to improve procurement processes and practices.
* Ensuring compliance with all internal policies, security and regulatory requirements.
* Incorporating vendor and contract management practices tailored to cloud-based services.
* Developing and maintaining vendor documentation and reports.
* Encouraging co-innovation and service improvement with vendors.
* Implementing polices for selection of suppliers and benchmarking vendor performance.
Skills Required
* Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to mentor, coach and develop direct reports and other IT team members.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Understanding of IT service management principles.
Qualifications And Experience
* A bachelor's degree in information technology, business management, or a related field.
* A minimum of 5 years of experience in vendor management or procurement, preferably in an IT environment, is essential.
* Demonstrated expertise as a vendor and procurement manager in a professional services setting, specialising in the development of vendor management frameworks, practices and processes.
* Proven experience building strong relationships and working closely with and supporting key stakeholders.
* Proven ability to successfully perform in an environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
