The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Field Service Technician to join our Victorian service team.
This role is primarily customer-site based and is responsible for providing breakdown, service and repair support across our materials handling fleet. You will be a key representative of Fork Force Australia in the field and will play an important role in delivering high quality service to our customers.

Key responsibilities • Diagnose, fault find and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults on forklifts and materials handling equipment • Carry out scheduled servicing, breakdown and repair work at customer sites • Complete allocated jobs independently and within expected timeframes • Accurately complete all job documentation, service reports and system entries on the day of service • Communicate professionally with customers and internal teams • Escalate complex or safety-related issues in accordance with company procedures • Comply with all safety, site and company requirements • Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition • Attend work reliably, commence work on time and follow company absence and communication procedures

What you will need to succeed • Mechanical, industrial or automotive trade experience (essential) • Forklift or materials handling industry experience (preferred) • Diesel and/or petrol engine experience • Light or heavy vehicle mechanical experience • Auto electrical experience (advantageous) • Current manual driver’s licence (essential) • Forklift licence (preferred but not essential) • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills • Ability to work independently in a field service environment • Good written and verbal communication skills • Strong commitment to safe work practices • Reliable attendance and punctuality • A positive, can-do attitude • Willingness to work overtime and a genuine desire to maximise earning potential
