We are seeking a Lead – Commissioning Reform to lead major service redesign and recommissioning activity across our portfolio. This role has been refined since it was previously advertised to better reflect the scope and focus of the work. The role will contribute to major upcoming reform activity in mental health and rural chronic conditions, alongside other service areas at different stages of redesign or recommissioning.

This is an opportunity to play a senior role in health system reform, working on complex commissioning projects that shape how services are designed, procured and transitioned across Tasmania.

What you would be doing

Reporting to the Manager – Service design, your focus will be:

* Leading reform and recommissioning projects from design through to delivery
* Developing new service models that reflect community needs and commissioning priorities
* Coordinating transition planning, procurement and contract mobilisation
* Provide commissioning leadership and guidance to Health Service Planners involved in reform
* Prepare clear advice, briefings and recommendations to support decision-making

You may have a background in health or community services, commissioning, policy, research or program management.

* Experience leading large-scale service reform or change initiatives
* Strong understanding of commissioning and procurement processes
* The ability to work across teams and manage complexity
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
