The Rottnest Island Golf Club is an institution and the RIGC Clubhouse is its home. Loved by the island community and visitors alike, the course's appeal to serious golf and lawn bowl enthusiasts, as well as those who casually enjoy a leisurely game or two on its unique greens, is legendary. A rare opportunity has arisen to become our new venue manager of the RIGC Clubhouse - welcoming one and all to the delights of this icon on the island.
With a retro cool function space upstairs, a pool table, board games and televised sporting matches downstairs, the RIGC Clubhouse offers more than a set of clubs and a cart. Guests can enjoy delicious fish and chips with a cold brew or glass of grape juice, with beautiful views over well-kept greens and stunning natural vegetation. You'll know you're not at St Andrews, but you really wouldn't want to be anywhere else - Relaxed and Relaxing doesn't even begin to describe it.
Island Living: This is a full-time Live On role. The successful candidate will enjoy a rent-free private room in a comfortable share house. What you'll be doing: Manage all aspects of the venue's operations, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, equipment purchasing and inventory management Ensure exceptional customer service with efficient equipment hire Manage Chippies - our Fish and Chips food truck Manage the bar operations, including stock control Implement and maintain health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures Provide strategic input and recommendations to the senior management team Foster a positive, collaborative, and productive work culture among the venue team What we're looking for: Significant experience (3+ years) in a similar venue - hospitality venue or sporting club management role Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience Proficiency in inventory and stock control management Thorough understanding of food safety, liquor licensing, and occupational health and safety regulations Proven ability to lead and motivate a team Excellent communication and problem-solving skills A "people" person - this role is part genial publican/ part community leader/ part savvy business operator What you'll need: A WA Approved Manager's Certificate The Right to Work in Australia National Police Clearance 15% off stays at The Lodge Wadjemup. 20% off food at Sunsets and Pelican at The Lodge Wadjemup.
