About the Role
Reporting to the Tax Operations Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery of tax reporting services, client transitions, and project-based work. The role has a strong focus on trusts, funds and tax reporting, with exposure to process improvement and stakeholder engagement across the broader operations function.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurate and timely delivery of tax reporting deliverables
* Preparation of unit trust distribution calculations and detailed taxable income calculations
* Preparation of BAS returns and other tax reporting
* Preparation and review of client reporting templates
* Review and maintenance of client tax profiles and static data used for tax calculations
* Responding to client queries and resolving tax related issues
* Ensuring compliance with tax legislation, operational risk and internal control frameworks
* Assisting with projects including testing of tax templates and process improvements
* Training and mentoring junior tax accountants where required
* Working closely with fund administration, operations, risk and relationship management teams
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* CA or CPA qualification
* Degree in Accounting, Business or a related discipline
* Strong experience in tax accounting for trusts, funds and or superannuation
* Solid understanding of tax reporting, compliance and operational risk requirements
* Experience working with central accounting systems and reconciliations
* Strong attention to detail with a results focused mindset
* Clear and confident communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a team environment
