Position Overview
Reporting to the Managing Director, The Group General Manager – Steel Fabrication & Structures is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership, performance and growth of Ahrens' multi-site steel fabrication, piling, sheds and structural manufacturing businesses across Australia and Vietnam.
The role will drive operational excellence, margin improvement, safety leadership, people development and strategic growth, while integrating systems, processes and culture across a geographically diverse portfolio.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate must have tertiary qualifications in business management, engineering, manufacturing or other relevant disciplines, as well as proven experience in relevant industries, such as steel fabrication, structural steel, manufacturing or heavy industrial environments. Ahrens is seeking an experienced and hands on strategic leader with strong commercial and financial acumen to lead the division to further success and growth. Candidates with experience in managing geographically dispersed teams and exposure to offshore or international manufacturing are highly regarded for this role.
