Job Opportunity

As a Trauma Counsellor, you will form part of our Clinical Team, working collaboratively with colleagues to provide high-quality counselling services for children, adolescents, and adults who have experienced childhood trauma, including sexual assault.

* Develop and implement strategies to lead and manage a team of counsellors.
* Facilitate group work with children and young people to foster personal growth and development.
* Design and deliver educational seminars, workshops, and support initiatives for professionals in the field.
* Conduct thorough assessments and develop effective trauma management plans.
* Exercise sound specialist skills in assessing for and managing trauma, ensuring best practice is applied at all times.

* Relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field, complemented by at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
* Proven specialist knowledge and experience in counselling, conducting therapeutic support groups, and promoting culturally sensitive practice.
* Sound understanding and experience in child protection and effective therapies supporting victims of sexual assault.
* Demonstrated ability to effectively manage team operations and work under limited supervision.
