The Opportunity
We are seeking a Clinical Nurse (CN) to provide clinical leadership and governance across Fortify Care Services, Fortify Nurse Clinic and Fortify Health Academy. Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC), you will oversee Nurse Case Managers and Clinical Nurse Educators, ensuring care is delivered safely, compliantly, and with measurable impact.
This role combines senior nursing expertise with operational oversight, guiding teams to deliver evidence-based, person-centred care while strengthening quality, risk management, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Attend to clinical care needs including service intakes
* Provide clinical leadership and advanced expertise to ensure safe, evidence-based, and person-centred care.
* Attend to complex care review and reports
* Attend to clinically complex procedures such as SPC changes
* Monitor and contribute to clinical policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure best practice and compliance with NDIS and regulatory requirements.
* Supervise and mentor Nurse Case Managers and Clinical Nurse Educators, fostering collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
* Advise on and support improvement initiatives, monitoring and evaluating nursing care practices and service delivery outcomes.
* Lead or delegate internal clinical audits, identifying risks and areas for improvement.
* Act as a senior clinical contact for participants, families, and external stakeholders when complex or sensitive issues arise.
* Act up as CNC when on leave or required
Selection Criteria
Skills & Experience
* At least 3 years' clinical experience in disability services or a related healthcare setting, including leadership or consultancy roles.
* Strong clinical assessment and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex situations.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership abilities.
* Commitment to person-centred care, ethical practice, and cultural competence.
* Proficiency in computer skills and documentation.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
* Bachelor of Nursing degree.
* Current registration as a Registered Nurse.
* Postgraduate qualification in a relevant clinical specialty.
* Health Service Management and training/assessment qualifications highly desirable.
* Current Queensland driver's license.
* NDIS worker screening check (or ability to obtain)
* Rights to work in Australia.
