About the Role
An exciting opportunity has become available for a Community Development Advisor to join the City of Vincent.
The Community Development Advisor is responsible for driving community engagement and supporting initiatives that enhance inclusivity and sustainability. This role involves collaborating with local groups and organisations, providing expert advice, and leading projects that address community needs and build local capacity. The Advisor plays a key role in strengthening connections within the community and fostering collaboration across various stakeholders.
What are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Demonstrated understanding and practical application of community development principles, with a strong understanding of capacity building theory and practice
- Ability to work in a team environment effectively, being flexible to changes in approach or direction, as required.
- Well developed experience in facilitation and consultation skills, with experience engaging, government agencies, service providers, community groups, organisations, and individuals, including community members from diverse or marginalised backgrounds
- Experience in identifying, preparing, and acquitting grant funding submissions
- Qualifications in Community Development, or other related discipline, or relevant practical experience at this level
- A current Working with Children Check
- A current Drivers Licence
