SwanCare is a respected, not-for-profit leader in aged care and retirement living in Western Australia. Since its inception in 1961, SwanCare has grown to support over 1,100 residents across retirement living, residential aged care and community services, with a workforce of more than 700 staff.
Based at its 15- Park campus, SwanCare is entering a new phase following significant organisational change, including a refreshed executive structure and major capital investment. With a strong asset base and proud heritage, the organisation is well positioned to build a sustainable future while continuing to enrich lives through its core values.
The Position
With leadership transition and significant organisational change already underway, the Board is seeking a capable and values-driven CEO to lead SwanCare through its next phase of stabilisation, renewal and disciplined growth.
This role carries a clear mandate: to consolidate recent transformation, strengthen organisational capability and establish a confident strategic direction for the future.
Working closely with the Board, the CEO will provide visible leadership across the organisation — making clear decisions, strengthening culture and ensuring SwanCare is well positioned to navigate the opportunities and challenges facing the aged care sector.
Key priorities
* Establishing a clear, executable strategy aligned with the Board
* Strengthening financial sustainability and funding optimisation
* Providing disciplined oversight of assets, capital and infrastructure
* Driving digital, ICT and operational modernisation
* Navigating sector reform including the new Aged Care Act
* Embedding and empowering a high-performing executive leadership team
About You
You bring the confidence to make difficult decisions while maintaining a leadership style that is authentic, visible and respectful. You understand how to balance commercial discipline with a genuine commitment to people and purpose.
Your experience may come from aged care, health, community services or another complex, highly regulated environment.
You will bring:
* CEO and Board governance experience
* Strong commercial acumen, including oversight of budgets and assets
* Demonstrated success leading change and cultural transformation
* Experience in regulated sectors
* Capability to develop and execute a strategy in partnership with a Board
* High emotional intelligence with a calm, steady and decisive style
* A leader who can set a clear direction while bringing people with you
