About the Role:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and other related equipment. Key tasks include workstation management, software deployment, hardware installation, and break-fix services.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Workstation Management: Ensure smooth operation of desktop systems, including setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
2. Software Deployment: Install, configure, and maintain software applications on desktop systems.
3. Hardware Installation: Install and configure hardware components, such as printers and scanners.
4. Break-Fix Services: Troubleshoot and repair faulty desktop systems, peripherals, and accessories.
5. Asset Management: Maintain accurate records of desktop equipment, including inventory, maintenance, and disposal.
6. Communication Skills: Provide exceptional customer service, communicate effectively with users, and collaborate with technical teams.
7. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems, hardware, and software.
8. Data Security: Ensure data security and integrity by implementing appropriate measures, such as backups and access controls.
9. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to urgent technical issues, such as system crashes or network downtime.
10. Collaboration: Work closely with technical teams, vendors, and users to resolve technical issues and improve desktop services.
11. Training and Development: Stay up-to-date with new technologies, attend training sessions, and participate in knowledge-sharing initiatives.
12. Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve desktop services, processes, and procedures to enhance user experience and efficiency.
13. User Support: Provide assistance to users with basic computer skills, teach them how to use new technology, and help them troubleshoot common issues.
14. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of incidents, problems, and resolutions, including documentation of fixes and workarounds.
15. Escalation: Escalate complex technical issues to senior technicians or specialists when necessary.
16. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and upgrading hardware, to ensure optimal desktop performance.
17. Fiber Optic Network: Experience working with fiber optic networks, cable testing, and crimping.
18. Console Access: Ability to access console ports of network devices, wireless access points, and LAN cables.
19. Cisco Commands: Familiarity with basic Cisco commands and protocols.
20. Raw Power: Knowledge about raw power, UPS health checks, and related infrastructure.
21. Local Language Communication: Strong local language communication skills for client-level 2 tech support.
22. English Communication: Proficient in English communication for client-level 2 tech support.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in desktop support, IT operations, or a related field.
