We’re seeking a talented individual to join our team at BH Engineering (WA) Pty Ltd. In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for creating technical blueprints, drawings, and models using SolidWorks CAD software to help bring our designs to life.
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
•Complete technical blueprints, drawings, and models in SolidWorks CAD software.
•Create parts, assemblies, design tables, and detailed drawings for fabrication.
•Apply expertise in sheet metal design to ensure accurate and efficient production.
•Handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high attention to detail.
•Collaborate with team members to review and redraft designs as needed.
•Assist with preparing bills of materials.
•Preparing DFX files for CNC cutting, and ordering through suppliers if necessary.
•Ensure a clean and safe workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety policies.
•Maintain a clean and presentable office environment.
•Professionally communicate with clients, suppliers, and team members at all times.
•Meet strict deadlines and ensure the timely completion of all projects.
Skills & Experience:
•Working towards a Diploma in Engineering or equivalent.
•Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role or industry.
•Proficient in SolidWorks, with the ability to create parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings.
•SolidWorks certification for Manufacturing, Mechanical Design, Advanced Drawing tools, Advanced surfacing, Advanced Weldments, Advanced Sheet Metal, 3D Sculptor, Simulation; Expert Level desirable.
•Strong knowledge of sheet metal design.
•Strong knowledge of pipe.
•Understand Australian fabrication standards and weld procedures.
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•Organised, detail-oriented, and able to handle multiple projects under pressure.
•Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work.
