We're partnering with a leading organisation embarking on a significant transformation journey and are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support the next phase of delivery.
This is an initial 3-month contract with strong potential to extend, based in Melbourne with a hybrid working model.
The Opportunity
You'll join at a critical stage following the completion of a high-level roadmap, helping to shape and refine key initiatives as the organisation transitions from legacy systems toward a modern, cloud-aligned architecture.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll act as a trusted advisor, supporting early-stage transformation decisions, contributing to ministerial-level conversations, and ensuring alignment between business objectives and technical delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide enterprise architecture leadership across solution design, governance, and data domains
* Translate strategic roadmap outputs into actionable, detailed architectural initiatives
* Guide the transition from legacy, on-prem systems to cloud and out-of-the-box solutions
* Act as an independent advisor to senior stakeholders, supporting critical decision-making
* Ensure architectural governance and standards are upheld across transformation programs
* Contribute to early-stage program delivery and refinement of transformation initiatives
* Predominantly legacy stack (C#, Uniface, custom-built systems)
* Largely on-prem infrastructure moving toward cloud-based platforms
* Organisation-wide transformation focused on modernisation and scalability
About You
* Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in large-scale transformation programs
* Strong background in solution design, governance, and data architecture
* Experience working with legacy-to-cloud transformation initiatives
* Ability to operate as a trusted advisor at executive level
* Previous exposure to government or highly regulated environments is advantageous
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
