Greater Shepparton City Council, situated in the heart of the Goulburn Valley, is the fourth largest provincial centre in Victoria with a well-developed economy in agricultural and irrigation sectors.
The Goulburn Valley is often referred to as "The Food Bowl of Australia" as around 25% of the total value of Victoria's agricultural production is generated in this area.
The population is approximately 65,000 with an expenditure budget in excess of $118 million and a culturally diverse community.In this role you'll be a key part of helping new and emerging businesses establish themselves and grow, providing vital support across administration, marketing and secretarial tasks.ResponsibilitiesSupport administration, marketing and secretarial tasks to assist local businesses.Contribute to a dynamic and diverse daily workload as part of a supportive team.Requirements / QualificationsExperience in administration or related support roles is preferred.Strong organisational and communication skills.Ability to work two days per week (Thursday and Friday) as part of a 16-hour per week schedule.Additional InformationNote: A 6-month qualifying period applies in accordance with the Fair Work Australia minimum employment period, with induction, support, resources and training provided to meet required standards.First Nations people are encouraged to apply.
