Your Contribution
As a Catering Assistant you will enhance residents dining experience by ensuring a personalised, customer-focused approach to mealtimes while maintaining food safety practices. We want our residents dining experience to feel home-like and for everyone to feel supported and engaged by you. You can support this individualized care model by:
* Ensuring food is provided to residents at their chosen mealtime
* Provide a varied and nutritional food service, which meets the needs of the aged residents within the residential aged care setting.
* Provide excellent personalised service to our residents.
* Prepare meals and drinks.
* Distribute meals to residents, assisting the chef with meal preparation, cleaning and general kitchen duties.
* Dining room services.
* Complete documentation.
* Exhibit our values of Kindness, Integrity, Connection and Optimism in all interactions
What you bring
* You bring experience in hospitality or care services, ideally within residential aged care, qualifications a plus
* You’re warm, approachable and communicate clearly with residents and team members
* You’re comfortable using IT systems and open to learning new tools
* You work well in a team and always put residents at the centre of what you do
* You’re physically capable of handling a hands-on role and ready to pitch in where needed
* You hold (or are willing to obtain) a current National Criminal History Check suitable for aged care
