Australia Zoo Supervisors contribute to the team by ensuring the smooth operations of all outlets. This role requires a high level of customer interaction, staff leadership, staff training and delegation. You will require good interpersonal and communication skills.

**Duties Include**:
- Mentor, motivate and support the Retail Customer Service team to ensure delivery is at a high level.
- Monitor the team on a daily basis and create an exciting atmosphere for our guests as they arrive and throughout their day.
- Assist the Retail Management team with conducting new staff induction and ongoing performance training and development reviews.
- Support staff and guests to resolve any customer service issues or complaints.
- Contribute to the development of policies, standards and procedures for all aspects of the retail department.
- Ensure department policies and procedures are all up to date and regularly reviewed.
- Ensure any area upgrades or maintenance concerns are appropriately reported.
- Assist store supervisors with maintaining stock levels throughout all outlets and ensuring stock cycle counts are regularly scheduled and completed.
- Inventory and POS systems operation.
- Cash handling, balance and count float, and perform scheduled clearances as needed.
- Responsible for ensuring all opening and closing procedures are followed (for example; locking gates, closing POS systems).
- Have the ability to build and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, local businesses, suppliers and community groups, as required.
- Assist the Retail Buyer with inventory management, including creating purchase orders, receiving stock, transferring stock and cycle count processes.
- Assist Retail Management team with staff rosters/timesheets and daily organisation of the teams' duties/breaks to ensure compliance with the Award.
**Essential Criteria**:
- Experience in a similar role.
- Computer literacy.
