We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to system configuration, process development, and production support. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full project lifecycle- from concept through to design.
About the role:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:
* Prepare equipment models, layouts, drawings and analysis.
* Prepare documentation supporting interfacing with the KDAu production facility.
* Contribute to the management of the configuration of design documentation.
* Support the conduct of Acceptance Testing activities, including Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Test Set to Work First Article Inspections.
* Prepare test reports, project documentation, production baselines, and supplier technical data packs.
* Develop processes for the conduct of engineering activities including Acceptance Tests.
* Support the conduct of Root cause Analysis for Non-Conforming product.
* Support the conduct of product Safety Assessment.
What you'll Bring:
* Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
* Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
* Proven experience in process development and improvement.
* CAD systems such as SolidWorks (desirable)
* Experience in a similar role in a defence environment (desirable).
Mandatory Requirements:
* Must be able to access information controlled under the US International Traffic of Arms Regulations (ITAR).
* Must be able to obtain and maintain an Australian security clearance.
