Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Talent and Culture Director to join our team and lead the T&C function at our resort. This dynamic individual will be responsible for fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with policies and best practices. Key responsibilities include overseeing recruitment, onboarding, career development, and performance management, providing strategic support to leadership and guidance to colleagues.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the recruitment process, including screening and interviewing candidates, administering Gallup online processes, conducting reference checks, and extending job offers.
* Sources talent through various mediums.
* Develops and implements recruitment planning and forecasting strategies.
* Attends local Career Fairs to promote our brand and attract top talent.
* Ensures a strong Health and Safety culture exists, including conducting safety audits, managing WCB claims, and acting as Secretary of the Health and Safety Committee.
* Counsels and coaches colleagues on job-related issues, career development, and performance management.
* Communicates effectively with colleagues at all levels to identify opportunities and challenges, and communicates this information to senior management.
* Assists Department Heads and Senior Managers in developing action plans to address issues and concerns identified.
* Maintains office coverage in the Human Resources Office during periods of absence.
* Supports the Regional Trainer in conducting needs analysis and follow-up activities related to training programs, particularly those related to Health and Safety and Service Promise.
* Coordinates staff-related activities and programs, including recognition programs and Employee Anniversary Awards.
* Fosters and promotes positive colleague relations through open communication, trust, and mutual respect.
* Advises and assists with the interpretation of T&C policies and procedures, applicable legislation, and the Collective Agreement.
* Oversees Colleague Housing units and Public areas to ensure House Rules are adhered to by all colleagues.
* Responsible for the T&C budget and considers the costs of planned programs, keeping within budgets.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree in Human Resources or a related field.
* Minimum 6+ years of experience in a Human Resources Management position, specifically in recruiting and health & safety.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with a high degree of organizational and administrative ability.
* The ability to identify with and create a rapport within our diverse multi-cultural environment.
* Proven ability to professionally address difficult and challenging issues with all levels of Leaders and Colleagues.
* Must be professional, highly productive, self-motivated, and energetic.
