We're looking for a hands-onAssistant Accountantwho can contribute across all areas of financial reporting while supporting system improvements throughout the business.

What you will do at ScorpionTech
Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, accounting workpapers and ensure compliance with BAS, Superannuation, WorkCover, Payroll Tax and HR.
Liaise with external accountants, bankers, insurance brokers and building managers.
Daily Processing: Manage and process ongoing financial transactions across multiple currencies, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, account reconciliations for key suppliers/customers and update daily cashflow reporting.
Customer Service: Support customer service team with system queries and implementation of new CRM system, including continuous improvement.
Office Administration: General office management, including office supplies, staff amenities and building co-ordination.

You will bring
Proven experience in a broad accounting role with strong hands-on experience in MYOB (preferred).
Solid understanding of tax compliance obligations.
Ownership and accountability to your work.
Be comfortable learning and using new technology to improve business outcomes.
Be detail-oriented, proactive and able to juggle multiple priorities.
Be a great communicator and adapt to your audience.
Must have qualification – accounting degree or commerce/business degree with proven experience in a broad accounting role.
