About The Role
We are seeking a high‐performing Senior Project Manager to lead delivery across a defined portfolio of strategic initiatives, managing multiple cross‐functional squads and concurrent complex initiatives.
This role requires a unique ability to operate end‐to‐end across delivery layers; from being hands‐on in the detail with squads and delivery teams, through to engaging and influencing C‐suite stakeholders. You will orchestrate delivery, ensure alignment across business and technology, and drive outcomes that deliver measurable business value.
What You'll Do
Portfolio & Multi‐Initiative Delivery
* Manage delivery across a portfolio of initiatives, ensuring alignment to strategic and commercial priorities.
* Oversee multiple initiatives concurrently, balancing competing demands and timelines.
* Coordinate delivery across multiple squads (technology, product, and business teams).
* Drive integrated planning, sequencing, and execution across interdependent initiatives.
Hands‐on Delivery Leadership
* Work closely with squads and enablement teams at a detailed level, understanding delivery plans, risks, blockers, and dependencies.
* Provide hands‐on support to unblock issues, challenge assumptions, and drive progress.
* Maintain visibility of delivery detail (milestones, backlog, risks) while ensuring alignment to broader objectives.
* Ability to switch between detail and big‐picture thinking as required.
Executive Stakeholder Engagement
* Engage and influence C‐suite and senior executives, acting as a trusted advisor.
* Lead steering committees, executive forums, and governance discussions.
* Provide clear, insight‐driven updates on delivery progress, risks, and outcomes.
* Drive alignment, resolve conflicts, and support decision‐making at executive level.
Communication & Presentation
* Develop and deliver high‐quality presentations and briefings for executive audiences.
* Translate complex technical and delivery detail into clear, outcome‐focused business narratives.
* Communicate effectively across all levels – from squad teams to board‐level stakeholders.
Cross‐Squad & Agile Delivery Leadership
* Partner with squad leads, product managers, and enablement teams to ensure aligned execution.
* Identify and manage interdependencies, risks, and resource constraints across squads.
* Establish and maintain delivery cadence, governance, and reporting.
* Support and optimise Agile or hybrid delivery practices.
Technology & Business Delivery
* Oversee both technology initiatives (platforms, integrations, systems) and business initiatives (process and operational change).
* Ensure alignment between technical delivery and business outcomes.
* Drive initiatives that deliver measurable value and operational improvement.
Business Change & Adoption
* Lead and coordinate change management activities across the portfolio.
* Ensure readiness for changes to processes, systems, and operating models.
* Drive adoption and sustained business outcomes.
Governance, Risk & Financial Management
* Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
* Track budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation.
* Ensure compliance with organisational standards and controls.
