Due to recent large project wins, we have an exciting opportunity for aMaterialsEngineerto be part of ourMaterials teaminMelbourne.In this varied role you will have an opportunity toget experience working onmajor Australian and international infrastructure projects.You willbe involvedin bothnew designand existing asset assessmentin this role.Youwill support delivery of materials engineering and durability services across major infrastructure projects, with a focus on practical, inspection-led assessment and long-term asset performance.
In this roleyou will:
Develop and review durability strategies for concrete, steel, and composite structures
Undertakecondition assessments and service life evaluations
Interpret inspection data and providing engineering judgement on asset performance
Preparetechnical reports and remediation recommendations
Provideinput across design, construction, and maintenance phases
Collaboratewith multidisciplinary teams
Contributeto proposals and technical submissions
About you
Degree in Materials Engineering or related discipline
3 -5 years' experience in infrastructure materials or durability engineering
Experience in inspection, condition assessment, or asset remediation
Strong understanding of durability, material performance, and service life design
Ability to apply engineering judgement to real-world asset condition issues
Experience working on major infrastructure projects
Chartered or working towards chartership
