Are you an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)?
We are currently working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in North Tyneside that is seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to provide full‐time, one‐to‐one support for a pupil with complex ASC needs.

Role
* Provide dedicated one‐to‐one support for a pupil with complex ASC needs.
* Support communication, emotional regulation, and engagement with learning activities.
* Implement structured routines and positive behaviour support strategies.
* Assist with personal care where required, ensuring dignity, safety, and wellbeing at all times.
* Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO, therapists, and external professionals.
* Help maintain a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements
Essential
* Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND, particularly ASC.
* Understanding of communication, sensory, and behavioural needs associated with autism.
* A calm, patient, and resilient approach.
* Willingness to support personal care where required.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
* Reliability, commitment, and an interest in securing a long‐term opportunity.
Desirable
* Experience working within a specialist provision or ASC unit.
* Knowledge of strategies such as visual supports, structured teaching, or intensive interaction.
* A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
