Job Overview
Sharp and Carter are partnering with a QLD State Government Department to source an AV Project Officer with significant experience in Audio Visual systems, excellent communication skills, and high attention to detail. This is an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension and internal career growth into Project Management or Technical Analyst roles.
Responsibilities
1. Perform Quality Assurance testing of newly completed AV installations across Queensland.
2. Carry out minor AV and IT installation works at various locations across QLD.
3. Provide training on the use of updated AV systems to end-user staff.
4. Assist in preparing technical documentation based on design briefs and project plans, crucial for Request for Quote processes.
5. Review and endorse AV supplier proposals, bills of materials, technical specs, and layouts to ensure quality and consistency.
6. Offer technical advice during AV system commissioning and integration into the department's infrastructure.
7. Investigate and resolve technical challenges, creating recommendations and designs for approval.
8. Manage and store project and financial documentation in accordance with policies.
9. Handle multiple tasks effectively, maintaining communication and managing expectations.
Candidate Profile
No mandatory qualifications are required; practical experience in installation or engineering design, or qualifications in AV technology are highly regarded. Industry certifications in the following technologies are also desirable:
* Cisco video conferencing hardware and software
* AMX control systems
* Biamp Digital Signal Processors
* AMX SVSI Networked Video
* Networking and IP technologies
