**The Site**
The manufacturing site is based in Chipping Norton in New South Wales. The manufacturing, packaging and warehouse operation spans across 5 units in the business complex. There are circa 15 people in the manufacturing team. It is a very tenured workforce and most of the employees have been with the business since early on in the piece. The business has a very positive, friendly, family-oriented culture. It is still a relatively small manufacturing operation but the volumes are increasing very quickly.
**The Opportunity**
Due to significant growth over the last couple of years, the business has identified a number of weak points within their manufacturing operation. As a result, the business has decided to create a new role as a Head of Manufacturing to support the Senior Leadership Team. This role will provide structure to the manufacturing team, and will be driving the implementation of systems and SOPs to help the business adapt to the accelerated growth they have been experiencing. In particular, experience with scaling up a food manufacturing operation and maintaining consistency and quality of product is paramount.
- Provide day to day leadership, direction and management to the manufacturing team.
- 2x Direct Reports (Supervisors).
- Manage and report on plant performance.
- Be accountable for the total output, quality and safety of the production capability of the business.
- Develop and establish quality processes.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives utilising effective change management.

**Skill and Experience Required**
- Previous experience in a Manufacturing or Production Leadership role, ideally in a food finished goods environment or similar transferable skills.
- Strong leadership and clear communication skills.
- Understanding of current practice manufacturing training and standards.
- Strong and practical understanding of HACCP + FSANZ.
