The Opportunity
The University Program Management Office (UPMO) drives strategic change at ECU through portfolio, program, and project management services. The Successful candidate will operate in a complex, fast-moving environment with exposure across all areas of the University, working closely with senior leaders and a diverse range of stakeholders. This role is key to shaping, supporting and delivering ECU's strategic goals by:
* Supporting the establishment and ongoing maturity of enterprise portfolio management across the University
* Partnering with senior leaders and stakeholders to plan, manage and deliver strategically aligned initiatives
* Acting as a trusted adviser to support sound decision-making and appropriate governance
* Supporting the successful leadership and embedding of change
* Driving benefits realisation and the delivery of strategic outcomes
* Building organisational capability through practical, fit-for-purpose approaches, coaching and support
* Contributing to the continuous evolution of UPMO practices and ways of working
About You
We are looking for a collaborative, engaging, outcomes-focussed professional who can balance rigour with pragmatism. You will bring:
* Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in portfolio, program and/or project management, establishing practices and leading complex, transformational change initiatives within large organisations
* A strategic mindset, with the ability to translate organisational vision and priorities into achievable, outcomes focused initiatives
* Proven credibility partnering with senior leaders and diverse stakeholder groups as a trusted adviser, supporting informed decision making in complex and ambiguous environments
* Sound judgement and practical experience supporting effective governance, risk management, benefits realisation and executive decision making
* A practical understanding of program and project management approaches
* A collaborative, values-led approach, with a commitment to building organisational capability and shared ways of working
