Overview
Thomas Borthwick and Sons (Australia) is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and driven Electrical Supervisor to join our ever-expanding team. With a team of electricians and electrical technicians in place, the successful applicant will be responsible for leading and supervising a team to undertake electrical repairs, general maintenance and preventative maintenance, as well as coordinating subcontractors, to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team to undertake electrical repairs, general maintenance and preventative maintenance.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure daily operations run smoothly.
- Assist design and manage the installation of electrical systems, including refrigeration facilities, minimising downtime in the production area.
Qualifications and experience
- Valid Queensland electrical license.
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical Engineering and/or significant electrical trade-based experience.
- 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory or management role.
- A commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety standards, focusing on continuous improvement.
- A strong understanding of current Australian electrical regulations and legislation.
- Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- A proven ability to troubleshoot.
- Fault finding experience with motor control, power circuits and VSDs.
- A demonstrated ability to prioritise effectively and meet deadlines.
- Possess robust written and verbal communication skills, with a can-do attitude.
Desirable experience
- Knowledge of and experience in contemporary management of refrigeration, wastewater, steam generation and environmental technology.
- Experience in food manufacturing environment.
