Civmec is excited to announce that we have been awarded a new Sodium Cyanide Expansion Project in Kwinana working Monday-Friday Nightshift. This is a great opportunity for experienced Special Class Welders to join our team This is your chance to contribute to a major industrial upgrade and work alongside a skilled, high-performing team.
The Role
* Welding to AS3992 and ASME IX standard
* Interpret engineering and detail fabrication drawings, specifications and standards
* Undertake and pass all necessary weld qualifications in required weld processes
* Perform the welding of Stainless and Carbon pipe
* Maintain all correct consumables, feeds, amperages and pre heat in accordance with applicable weld procedures
* Perform welding techniques including, but not limited to, MMAW, FCAW, MIG, SAW
* Weld steel structures in sequence to eliminate shrinkage and distortion of steel components
* Remove tack welds, clean and restore weld preparations where required
* Monday to Friday Nightshift works
About You
To be successful in the role you will possess the following:
* Australian recognised Trade Certificate
* Current Working Safely at Heights Certificate
* Current High risk elevating work platform license and VOC
* Current Drivers Licence
* Nationally recognised Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card)
* Ability to pass a 6G GTAW/MMAW on Carbon and stainless pipe
* Previous construction experience
* Ability to complete and pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen.
