The Opportunity
You will play a key role in strengthening engineering management systems, supporting audit outcomes, and enabling the effective delivery of communications and cryptographic capabilities.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you'll contribute to engineering design, configuration control, and technical assurance across platform systems, while supporting ongoing transformation initiatives including ERP integration.
Responsibilities
* Implement audit recommendations, ensuring compliant and up-to-date engineering documentation
* Develop and standardise key engineering artefacts (e.g. plans, templates, CEMIs, MDI)
* Modernise core Engineering Management System documentation and frameworks
* Support engineering change and configuration management processes, including ERP transition
* Contribute to technical investigations, instructions, and verification & validation activities
* Participate in engineering design reviews and certification-aligned activities
* Develop guidance, training materials, and support knowledge transfer to stakeholders
* Build strong relationships across Defence, customer, and supplier networks
Ideal Candidate Requirements
* Degree‐qualified engineer with strong experience in systems engineering and engineering governance frameworks within Defence or complex environments.
* Proven experience developing Engineering Management Systems and Plans
* Strong background in configuration management, V&V, and risk management
* Familiarity with ASDEFCON frameworks and Defence engineering environments
* Ability to simplify complex engineering concepts into structured documentation
* Experience with cryptographic systems (desirable)
* Strong stakeholder engagement and mentoring capability
* Ability to obtain/hold NV1 Security Clearance
