The Water Management Officer is central to ensuring the responsible use, allocation and protection of Tasmania's freshwater systems. In this role you'll engage primarily with farmers, agricultural producers, commercial water users and other stakeholders, lead compliance activities, and provide technical advice to support informed decision making and agricultural growth. You will also contribute to water management planning, dam safety regulation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Our ideal candidate has
* Qualifications in water, agriculture or water resource management.
* Experience administering legislation and conducting technical investigations, including preparing accurate reports and recommendations.
* Relevant experience in water or in natural resource management.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proven negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
