About Stride, we are leaders in mental health service delivery, specialising in working with adults and young people, as well as early childhood intervention. Our name is purposeful and shows awareness of the important role we play in the recovery journey.
Stride partners with Wellways and Clarity Health Care to soon open the Western NSW Medicare Mental Health Centre, located in Dubbo and Bathurst. This centre supports Australia's reformed mental health and wellbeing system, formerly known as Head to Health. The Medicare Mental Health Centre provides a free, safe and welcoming space for mental health advice, supports and services. Walk-ins are welcomed, services are confidential, and no appointment or referral is required.
The services offered in Dubbo and Bathurst are funded by the Australian Government to provide a streamlined approach to support better mental health and social wellbeing across the country. These services cater to the needs of the community in regional NSW, providing a combination of peer-led recovery and clinical support. A safe and welcoming environment is provided for individuals experiencing psychological distress, offering an alternative to presenting to the Emergency Department for low-risk cases. This allows access to support from trained mental health professionals within the community, outside of a clinical setting.
