About The Role
We are looking for a proactive and dedicated Senior Trade Overseer to lead and manage our Facilities Maintenance unit at Cooma Correctional Centre.
Responsibilities
* Supervise, coach, train, instruct and work with inmates to develop their work skills.
* Manage activities of the team and ensure commercial objectives are achieved.
* Be a positive role model and demonstrate personal values which support CSI and social values.
* Provide detailed case management reporting through the Work Readiness Program.
* Ensure that resources are managed efficiently and effectively.
* Provide and maintain a safe working environment for staff, inmates and other stakeholders on site.
* Participate in planning and reviewing quality and continuous improvement processes.
* Ensure compliance is adhered to with relevant CSNSW and CSI policies and procedures.
* Assignment to this role is subject to Criminal Records Check, Medical and Capability Assessments.
Essential Requirements
* Plumber – Must possess trade qualifications in Plumbing and hold current NSW Fair Trading Plumbing Contractor Licence or Qualified Supervisor Certificate.
* Certification in TMV and Backflow desirable but not essential.
* Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or capacity to complete within specified timeframes.
* Current NSW Drivers Licence and preparedness to drive to locations as required.
* Be willing to participate in an on‑call rotational roster.
