What is the role?
There is now an exciting opportunity for an Assembly Technician/ Mechanical Fitter to join the Assembly team on a permanent full-time basis.
The Assembly Technician plays a key role in the efficient assembly of RME-manufactured equipment to a high standard of workmanship and safety.
The Assembly Technician must have a genuine interest in assembling high-quality, high-performance, special machines. RME's 'special machines' may be any combination of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical and electronic systems, including powerful robotic devices.
What are we looking for?
REQUIRED
1. Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent trade certificate in relevant industry (ie Motor mechanic, Diesel Fitter)
2. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings with minimal guidance.
3. High level understanding of hydraulic systems.
4. Basic understanding of electrical systems
5. Basic IT skills including MS Office suite, D365 and Windchill.
6. Excellent attention to detail
7. Demonstrated organisation and time management skills
8. Ability to approach situations with a positive, 'can-do' attitude
9. Effective written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
10. Promotes and is actively engaged with Continuous Improvement Opportunities.
11. Is proactive towards safety, e.g. Hazard identification, Take 5's.
12. Displays and promotes RME's values and behaviours.
DESIRABLE
Certificate IV in Fluid Power
LICENCES
1. Current QLD 'C' Class Open Driver's Licence (desirable)
2. Current Forklift Licence (desirable)
3. Overhead Crane Licence, or the ability to obtain (required)
4. Dogman Ticket (desirable)
