An opportunity exists for a highly capable Engagement Manager/ Project Manager to take ownership of a major POLISY migration initiative in Sydney. This position is suited to a senior professional with extensive experience delivering complex, enterprise-scale migration programs, particularly within Mainframe and POLISY landscapes.
The successful individual will partner closely with the client's Project Manager, AWS Technical Lead, AWS delivery teams, and implementation partners to drive coordinated execution across all migration activities.
Core Responsibilities:
Take full accountability for delivery of the POLISY migration stream
Align and manage collaboration across internal teams, AWS Professional Services, and third-party partners
Drive detailed planning, governance, and successful execution of the migration roadmap
Act as the primary escalation point for stakeholders and ensure clear, proactive communication
Deliver agreed milestones within approved timelines and budget parameters
Provide direction and technical oversight to the migration delivery team
Proactively identify risks and implement appropriate mitigation plans
Work in close alignment with the client Project Manager to ensure program cohesion
Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and governance standards are maintained
Essential Background:
8+ years' experience leading large-scale IT initiatives as an Engagement Manager or Project Manager
Demonstrated success delivering enterprise migration programs
Mandatory experience in Mainframe migration environments
Prior exposure to POLISY migration projects strongly preferred
Experience managing multi-stream technical programs involving diverse stakeholder groups
Strong record of delivering complex initiatives within enterprise organisations
Technical Expertise:
In-depth knowledge of Mainframe infrastructure and architecture
Understanding of POLISY systems and migration frameworks
Exposure to cloud transformation programs (AWS knowledge advantageous)
Experience in legacy platform transformation and modernisation
