About the Role
This is an exceptional opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our dynamic team and contribute to the delivery of high-quality patient care. As a valued member of our admitted Speech Pathology team, you will be responsible for providing clinical services to hospital wards and departments.
The role will work within the admitted caseload rotation system and is ideally suited to someone who has a strong interest in developing clinical skills in a range of acute and admitted subacute settings. There is opportunity to complete workplace learning in areas such as VFSS, FEES, laryngectomy, tracheostomy & paediatric feeding.
* We are seeking a candidate who holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology or equivalent and is eligible for full practicing membership of Speech Pathology Australia.
* A demonstrated ability to assess, diagnose and manage communication, swallowing and oral motor disorders for the relevant clinical populations is essential.
* Effective communication and teamwork skills are critical in this role, as you will need to communicate effectively across a variety of teams in the advocacy of patient-centred care and resolution of conflict.
* A commitment to quality and safety improvement activities is also essential.
