About the Role
You will be leading frontline operations to ensure the safe, reliable and cost-effective delivery of train services. Champion a culture that prioritizes safety, implementing strategies that reduce asset cycle times and improve train payloads.
Key responsibilities include managing allocated yard and traincrew operations, providing active crewing levels to support rostering and scheduling services, and building positive workplace relationships with your team.
Skills & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A Certificate IV or Diploma in Frontline Management (desired)
* Well-developed safety management skills and knowledge, including incident investigation
* Demonstrated leadership skills, including task assignment, communication and problem-solving
* Ability to effectively engage team members, establish and sustain relationships, set clear direction and provide coaching
* Detail understanding of train handling and provisioning procedures, network route knowledge, safe working systems and personnel deployment practices
* Customer relationship management skills
* Proven commercial acumen
