Our organization is seeking a seasoned software engineer to lead the development of our cloud-based, distributed service. This individual will be responsible for accelerating software builds and tests, optimizing developer workflows through remote execution and caching.
As a key member of our team, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact for trialing, new, and existing customers, offering guidance as they adopt and scale our platform.
The ideal candidate will possess strong understanding of developer workflows and build systems, with experience in tools like Docker, Terraform, or Kubernetes. Proficiency in at least one programming language and familiarity with cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenShift are also required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Serve as the primary technical point of contact for trialing, new, and existing customers—offering guidance as they adopt and scale our platform.
2. Troubleshoot, investigate, and resolve complex issues with build systems, integrations, and environments.
3. Help customers optimize their use of our products and ensure smooth adoption within their developer workflows.
4. Partner with Engineering to surface and track product bugs, performance regressions, and feature feedback from the field.
5. Create and maintain internal and external documentation to improve future support and empower developers.
6. Engage with the broader community via forums, Slack, GitHub, and conferences—representing our voice with empathy and technical clarity.
7. Contribute to a culture of operational excellence through metrics, tooling improvements, and automation.
Requirements
* 3+ years of experience in software development, technical support, SRE, or developer-facing roles.
* Strong understanding of developer workflows and build systems (experience with Bazel or Buck/Buck2 is a big plus).
* Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Go, C++, Java, Python, Rust, or JavaScript).
* Comfortable in a Linux/Unix environment with experience in tools like Docker, Terraform, or Kubernetes.
* Familiarity with at least one cloud provider (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure, or OpenShift).
* Great communicator—able to explain complex technical concepts clearly in writing and on calls.
* Experience writing or contributing to technical documentation or internal knowledge bases.
* Customer-centric mindset with a passion for helping engineers solve tough problems.
