**About the Role**:
As an Associate Director, you will hold a pivotal role in contributing to strategic urban planning. As part of our leadership team, you will bring considerable leadership, credibility, and professionalism to the role. The responsibilities extend to achieving revenue targets through robust service delivery and project management. Simultaneously, the role involves strategically identifying, developing, and managing client relationships and professional networks to generate new opportunities and ensure profitable business performance. It is key for this position to keep abreast of market developments and industry trends affecting the business and devise strategies to respond. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in supporting staff growth and development, demonstrating strong people management and leadership skills. Additionally, you will contribute to a safe workplace, comply with health and safety policies, and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
**About You**:
You will demonstrate advanced expertise in navigating complex regulatory frameworks and integrating strategic elements into town planning initiatives. Utilising skills in effective communication, both written and verbal, you will employ a strategic approach to research and analysis in town planning matters. You'll be an effective client manager, successfully meeting client priorities and expectations, exhibiting resilience under pressure, and promoting constructive responses to differences of opinion. You will be proactive in leveraging external networks for insights and actively seek collaborative opportunities across teams. As a leader, you will encourage diversity of opinion, commit to ongoing personal and professional development, and provide constructive feedback to the team. You will effectively delegate responsibilities to foster team capabilities, implement innovative solutions, and prioritise competing demands within specified timeframes and budgets. Finally, you will consistently uphold commercial discipline and compliance with company policies and processes.
**Qualifications & Experience**:
To thrive in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Regional and Urban/Town Planning or a related discipline, coupled with relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.
