About The Role
The successful applicant will have the following key responsibilities:
* Ensure Compliance and Training: Stay up-to-date with all relevant policies, procedures, and compliance training to ensure a safe working environment.
* Enhance Site Health and Safety: Mentor site personnel to improve safety standards and conduct site inspections to provide actionable feedback and recommendations.
* Support Project Management: Assist Project Managers in developing and maintaining safety systems, procedures, and strategies while managing risks and opportunities for safety improvements.
* Investigate Incidents and Provide Corrective Actions: Conduct investigations into accidents and incidents, advising on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrences.
* Promote a Strong Safety Culture: Foster a transparent, proactive safety culture on-site and ensure compliance with up-to-date legislation, industry standards, and technological innovations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
* Demonstrate a passionate, energetic approach to safety with a positive, team-first attitude, working collaboratively with others.
* Hold a Certificate IV in OHS and other key certifications, such as Workplace Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator Certification, First Aid, and Emergency Response Training.
* Have 3+ years of experience in a similar role within the Civil/Construction industry, along with strong knowledge of plant operations, safety principles, and the ability to effectively engage with site staff and management.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Current C-Class Driver's Licence.
