Industrial Planner
We are seeking a proactive and commercially minded Industrial Planner to join our Above Water Systems team based in Garden Island. In this role, you will work closely with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of program requirements across complex projects.
You'll play a key role in driving supplier performance, managing procurement activities, and optimising supply chain solutions to deliver value, maintain capability, and support critical project milestones.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage supplier and subcontractor engagement to support project delivery and program outcomes
* Lead end-to-end RFP activities, including supplier selection, evaluation, and resource planning
* Oversee supplier strategies across Electrical, Structural or Mechanical categories
* Allocate work packages to maximise value, maintain supplier capability, and meet project requirements
* Monitor labour and material costs to ensure budgets and schedules remain on track
* Conduct supplier performance reviews and build strong supplier relationships
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders to negotiate agreements, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement
Your Skills
* Background in Electronics, Mechanical, Structural or related technical/trade disciplines highly regarded
* Experience in procurement, supplier management, and commercial contract environments
* Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence outcomes
* Ability to analyse costs, manage priorities, and deliver effective supply chain solutions
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills across all levels of business
* Self‐motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines
* Resilient, collaborative, and committed to delivering high‐quality outcomes and ethical business practices
