What you'll be doing…
You will complete a Certificate IV Information Technology qualification over 24 months through a combination of formal training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and practical on-the-job experience with Zeal Futures and Host employer, Singleton Council.
Throughout your formal training and practical experience in the workplace, you will have the opportunity to:
* Assisting the IT Helpdesk officer to triage incoming helpdesk tickets, ensuring accurate logging and appropriate escalation.
* Monitoring all problems reported to the IT Team, tracking progress and ensuring timely resolution.
* Liaising with third-party support technicians to facilitate efficient issue resolution.
* Communicating effectively with external stakeholders and staff at all levels of the organisation regarding IT related matters.
What you'll bring to the table…
To be successful in this role, you'll need to meet the following criteria:
* Commitment to full term of the traineeship and study requirements
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Demonstrate a genuine passion in computers and technology, driven to build your career within the industry
* Ability to work without constant direct supervision and make sound decisions independently
* Current drivers licence (or eligible to obtain prior to the commencement of the traineeship)
* Willingness to undergo a pre employment medical, including Standard Medical, Drug and Alcohol screening and Functional capacity assessment.
