About the role:
This role will see you developing short, medium and long term planning of locomotive and wagon maintenance. You will partner with internal and external stakeholders to implement efficient and effective maintenance plans.
Lead and champion a I Know Safe, I Choose Safe safety culture
Develop short to medium term maintenance & demand plans that comply with SMS/System of Maintenance obligations
Ensure the conversion of the scheduled maintenance plan into an item level inventory demand plan
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure governing rules, processes and systems are delivered in accordance with maintenance plan
Carry out daily communication across teams and external repair providers to ensure the existence of one maintenance plan
Work towards improving availability and reliability of locomotive and wagon fleets
About you:
Ability to direct and influence others to drive outcomes
Experience in Maintenance Systems, Excel and SAP (Mandatory)
Planning experience in scheduling and project management is preferred
Analytical and problem solving skills to optimise business processes
Knowledge of demand forecasting tools including market, finance, manufacturing and supply chain
Ability to develop and work to key inventory performance metrics
Understanding of inventory life cycle and absolute inventory
