The Senior Legal Counsel role on our Building Automation team in Abbotsford is focused on identifying new sales opportunities, providing consultative support, building customer relationships, and managing contract negotiations and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and settling contracts and commercial agreements to protect Honeywell's interests.
2. Negotiating commercial terms with partners and stakeholders to align with business needs.
3. Collaborating with Operations and Sales teams to implement risk assessment and contract management policies, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
4. Managing contractual disputes with commercial and operations teams as needed, prioritizing resolutions that meet both parties' requirements.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
* A bachelor's degree in law or related field.
* An Australian Practicing Certificate.
* 3-5 years of post-qualification experience in contractual and legal support, preferably in construction, engineering, or technology sectors.
* In-depth understanding of commercial and contract law, with expertise in relevant areas.
* Excellent negotiation skills, enabling effective representation of Honeywell's interests.
* Experience with tenders, RFPs, and procurement documentation, ensuring seamless execution.
* Ability to balance legal obligations with business needs, delivering results-oriented solutions.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
